Weekly Activities

For the week of February 16, 2016, National Grid's contractor will mobilize to the site to perform geotechnical borings on Beach Channel Drive. These borings will provide information on the current suitability of the road base and aid in the design of the road restoration. Also, the contractor will be coring into the top of the tunnel that runs perpendicular to Beach Channel Drive so that grout can be pumped into the tunnel. Work in the bulkhead area will continue when the locations of the recovery wells are determined.  Road restoration activities are scheduled to be completed by end of May 2016.
